Gazelle is at the forefront of making the case for policy change to enable DB consolidation through Superfunds. Superfunds provide a scalable policy solution to reduce systemic risk exposure from less well funded UK DB schemes supported by relatively weak employers.
- Gazelle provided the PLSA DB Task Force with an IRM modelling study which investigated the level and structure of DB risk in the UK
- Gazelle worked closely with the PLSA DB Task Force to develop the case for consolidation through Superfunds and provided the initial supporting IRM modelling of Superfunds and analysis of affordability of Superfund entry premiums.
Gazelle has advised Christofferson Robb and Company (CRC), a leader in European bank capital release transactions and private debt funds, on forming the CRC Superfund.
Gazelle expects that IRM will play an important part in helping Trustees of schemes considering Superfund entry to properly compare specific Superfund outcomes with expected outcomes which continue to rely on the financial support of a single employer.
Gazelle provided the IRM support underlying the PLSA DB Task Force Reports which led to the consideration of superfunds as a policy initiative.
